Who we are
Daniel has served in senior leadership roles in hospitals and health systems for over 20 years. His leadership journey includes accountability for hospitals, medical groups, service lines, and revenue cycle. His most recent responsibility included oversight of eight acute care hospitals, six free standing emergency departments, a behavioral health hospital and multiple ambulatory sites of care with cumulative net revenue exceeding $2.2 billion. Daniel has led the integration and alignment of hospital-based service lines and employed physician practices, including redesign of governance structures, operational standards, and physician engagement models. Additional improvement initiatives include moving operating margin from negative to positive 2.7%, achieving top quartile and decile quality measures, eliminating nursing agency, reducing turnover by 25%, moving physician engagement scores top decile, implementing 24-hour access for key diagnosis in major service lines, and building highly aligned medical groups. He completed a master’s degree in business administration at Georgia State University’s Robinson School of Business and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN.
